Remodeling & Construction in San Diego
CCR Construction and Restoration is a licensed general contractor (California B license #813685) that spends most of the year rebuilding homes and businesses after a loss. The same crews, trade partners, and project managers build kitchens, bathrooms, additions, ADUs, and commercial tenant improvements when nobody is in a hurry.
That background changes how a remodel runs. Insurance work is scoped, documented, and inspected to a standard most remodelers never see, and we bring the same discipline to retail projects: a written scope before the contract, materials on site before demolition, and one point of contact from the first walkthrough to the punch list.
Estimates are free. Call 858-397-2270 or use the form.

How a Remodel Runs at CCR
Scope Before Contract
Every project starts with a walkthrough and a written scope: what is being removed, what is going in, and allowances for the things you have not chosen yet. The home improvement contract is written from that scope, not from a conversation. Change orders are written the same way, priced and signed before the work happens.
Materials Before Demolition
Jobs that start and then stop are the number one complaint about remodeling, and the cause is almost always a material that was not on site. We do not start demolition until selections are signed off and the long-lead items, cabinets, windows, tile, and plumbing fixtures, are ordered and, wherever possible, delivered.
Commercial Buildouts and Tenant Improvements
We perform commercial tenant improvements every week, from retail storefronts to office suites and multi-tenant buildings. Because much of our restoration work is commercial, phased schedules, after-hours work, and property managers with several tenants to keep open are normal for us.
- Retail storefronts and showrooms
- Office suites and tenant turnovers
- Multi-tenant repairs, phased so unaffected units stay open
- Code, ADA, and ordinance upgrades that come with a permit
- Permit and city coordination
- Repairs and rebuilds after a loss, under one contract with the mitigation

Why San Diego Owners Remodel With CCR
- Licensed general contractor. California B license #813685, with C-15 flooring, C-36 plumbing, and C-39 roofing classifications.
- Over twenty years in San Diego. Family owned and operated.
- Insurance-grade documentation. Scope, photos, and change orders written the way carriers require, which is a higher standard than most remodels ever see.
- One company from demolition to finish. Our own crews for demolition, framing, drywall, and finish carpentry, with licensed trade partners we manage for the rest.
- Materials on site before demolition. The schedule is built around deliveries, not hopes.
- Structural capability. Walls, headers, trusses, and additions, with an engineer where the load path is in question.
- Licensed, bonded, and insured. Certificates on request.
What to Have Ready Before the Estimate
- Photos of the space and rough dimensions.
- What you want to change and what stays.
- A budget range. A real one saves a round of revisions.
- Any HOA rules or CC&Rs that apply.
- Whether you plan to live in the home during the work.
- For additions and ADUs, your lot size and what is on it today.
- Plans, if you already have them. If not, we can tell you whether the project needs an architect or a designer.
