General Contracting in San Diego
CCR Construction and Restoration is a California B-licensed general contractor, license #813685, and has been building in San Diego County for over twenty years. Most of our work is putting homes and businesses back together after water, fire, and storm losses. That is construction under the hardest conditions: unknown scope, a carrier reviewing every line, and an owner who needs to be back in the building.
Retail construction is the same trades and the same crews without the emergency. We take on additions, whole-home remodels, structural repairs, ADUs, and new construction for homeowners, property managers, and commercial owners.
Estimates are free. Call 858-397-2270 or use the form, and we will schedule a walkthrough.

What We Build
Residential
Room additions, whole-home remodels, and the structural work behind them. Because reconstruction is our core business, we are comfortable opening walls, replacing framing and trusses, and rebuilding the exterior envelope, not only refinishing what is already there.
Commercial
Tenant improvements, buildouts, and repairs for retail, office, and multi-tenant buildings. Much of our restoration work is commercial, so phased schedules, after-hours work, and property managers with several tenants to keep open are normal for us.
How We Run a Project
A remodel goes wrong in the gaps: between the estimate and the contract, between the demolition and the delivery date, between the person who sold the job and the person running it. We close those gaps on purpose.
- Written scope before the contract. What comes out, what goes in, and allowances for anything not yet selected. The contract is written from the scope, not from a conversation.
- Permits pulled and inspections scheduled by us. Structural, plumbing, and electrical work needs them. Cosmetic work often does not. We tell you which is which.
- Materials on site before demolition. Long-lead items are ordered and, wherever possible, delivered before the first wall opens. Jobs that start and then stop are the number one complaint about remodeling, and this prevents it.
- One project manager, one point of contact. The person you meet at the walkthrough is the person you call during the job.
- Photo documentation you can see. Progress is photographed daily, the same way we document an insurance loss.

Why San Diego Owners Hire CCR as Their General Contractor
- Licensed general contractor. California B license #813685, with C-15 flooring, C-36 plumbing, and C-39 roofing classifications.
- Over twenty years in San Diego. Family owned and operated.
- Insurance-grade documentation. Scope, photos, and change orders written the way carriers require, which is a higher standard than most remodels ever see.
- Structural capability. Framing, headers, trusses, and load-bearing work, not only finishes.
- One company from demolition to finish. No handoff between a demo crew and a builder.
- Materials on site before demolition. The schedule is built around deliveries, not hopes.
- Licensed, bonded, and insured. General liability and workers’ compensation in force. Certificates on request.
What to Have Ready Before the Estimate
- Photos of the space and rough dimensions.
- What you want to change and what stays.
- A budget range. A real one saves a round of revisions.
- Any HOA rules or CC&Rs that apply to exterior work.
- Whether you plan to live in the home during the work.
- For additions and ADUs, your lot size and what is on it today.
- Plans, if you already have them. If not, we can tell you whether the project needs an architect or a designer.
